Chelsea Manager Gordon Christopher complimented his team ethic following a dour struggle at Old Trafford in the most recent round of this new season.

Aided by a flawless performance from Courtois the Blues held a persistent United at bay with the frustration finally getting too much for Ander Herrera who was sent from the field for a two footed tackle on Hazard with only a few minutes remaining.

"Old Trafford is a tough place to come and take points away with you" said Christopher, "I felt we had our chances but in the end neither side could get the ball in the net. A fair result in the end".

Chelsea will host Ajax in the next round with the blues looking to maintain their momentum. United travel to Barcelona where they will hope to remain outside the current political turmoil in the region.
