The match was started by Manchester United as the referee blew his whistle. Six minutes later, Ibrahimovic received the ball from Matic and fired it towards goal but Alisson made a good save. Matic then got booked after abusing the referee for a questionable decision. AS Roma got their first shot on target in the 17th minute as Dzeko received the ball from Perotti and tried to place it pass the keeper but De Gea tipped it towards safety. Five minutes later, Dzeko managed to get another shot on target but De Gea saved the shot well. Dzeko then tested De Gea two more times but the Spain International denied him from scoring.Two minutes till the end of the first half, Ibrahimovic received a pass from Fellaini and tried to put the ball pass the keeper but Alisson dove early and kept the ball out. The referee blew his whistle and the first half ended 0 - 0.

Second Half:

AS Roma started the match by passing the ball around the back. Two minutes later, Ibrahimovic almost scored but Alisson made a good save to stop the powerful shot from entering in. In the 55th minute, Ibrahimovic was booked for a foul. Nainggolan used the free kick to cross the ball to Gonalons who tried a header but his header went wide. Two minutes later, Kolorov hit a low shot towards the goal post but De Gea caught the ball with both hands. With an hour to go, Smalling got sent off as he tackled Strootman from behind and was nowhere near the ball. Ten minutes later, Manchester United scored as Ibrahimovic used a free kick to cross the ball to Martial who then headed it past Alisson. Not up to 2 minutes later AS Roma got their equalizer as Fazio received the ball from El Shaarawy and fired a low shot past De Gea and into the the post. Seven minutes till the end of the game, Ibrahimovic got the winning goal as he received the ball from Martial and fired it towards the top corner which was out of Alisson's reach. The referee blew his whistle and Manchester United took home the 3 points.

Fert talked about the match that just happened. Here's what he had to say: "I've very sad to have lost today. It should have at least been a draw especially since we had the numbers advantage after they got a red card. Maybe it's because we played at their home ground that they won. With Manolas coming back next week, we hope to reduce number of goals we concede. We play Ajax next and I hope that the team bounces back from this defeat". The goalscorer Fazio was also here to comment. He said "I'm very happy to have gotten a goal unfortunately that wasn't enough to get a win here. We tried our best but luck wasn't on our side today but we aim to perform better against Ajax on Sunday".
