Sporting Lisbon climb to playoff places after win at Everton

Sporting Lisbon rise into the playoff places after a 2-1 victory at Goodison Park in what was a crucial game between two promotion chasing sides.
Sporting's William Carvalho fires the first goal past Toffees keeper Maarten Stekelenburg in just under the first minute of play.
Shortly after, Stefan Ristovski strikes one for the top corner, but goes just wide.
Then it was Sandro Ramirez to put Everton level in the 20th minute after clever play from James McCarthy.
Sporting continued their attacking play with Gelson Martins and Seydou Doumbia missing their chances before in form Bruno Cesar slotting in his 4th of the season into the bottom corner to put Sporting ahead just before half time.
Everton switched on in the second half, desperately trying to get level, with Sandro Ramirez taking his chances, but couldnt find the back of the net.
Sporting held on to claim their third victory of the season, which moves them up to the playoffs in 6th. Everton remain one place above them in 5th.
