Perotti celebrates as he scores the winner for AS Roma

We're here for Match day 13 as AS Roma face Chelsea at the Stadio Olimpico. 30,473 fans are here to watch the match unfold. AS Roma lost their last match to Juventus 5 - 2 and are still looking for their first home win while Chelsea managed by Gordon Christopher lost 3 - 1 to Napoli. Fert said in his pre match conference that Strootman couldn't start as he is still struggling for fitness but the team selected today will do the job. He hoped that his team could get their first home win so as to please the fans.

First Half:

AS Roma started the match as soon as the referee blew the whistle. 7 minutes went by and the a yellow card was given to El Shaarawy for pulling Pedro's shirt to stop him from getting away with the ball. Three minutes later, Fazio received a pass from Florenzi and had shot towards goal but Courtois made a save. A quarter of an hour gone and AS Roma had another chance but Dzeko's shot went past the angle of the post and bar. Three minutes later, Morata linked up with Hazard and tried a deft flick but the ball just went wide. The first goal was scored in the 23rd minute as Perotti played the ball to Kolarov who then shot it towards the top corner. Courtois couldn't reach it as the ball went over the line. 8 minutes later, Chelsea found an equalizer as Moses received the ball from Costa and curled it towards the top corner. The ball drifted beyond Alisson and dropped over the line. Morata then had a chance to give Chelsea the lead but Alisson distracted Morata which made the shot go wide. The referee blew his whistle as the second half ended 1 - 1.

Second Half:

The referee blew his whistle and Chelsea started the second half. There was no action till the 63rd minute when Hazard found Costa unmarked and passed the ball to him, Alisson did well to save Costa's shot. Four minutes later, Kante received the ball from Hazard and curled in a shot towards goal as Alisson tried to cover but the ball went wide. AS Roma scored the winning goal in the 69th minute as they received a free kick. Nainggolan saw Perotti unmarked and crossed the ball to him. Perotti then headed the ball towards goal as Courtois wasn't able to reach it. Two minutes later, Hazard received a yellow card after tackling Perotti. With a quarter of an hour to go, Gonalons tried a dangerous shot but it went to the wrong side of the post. Boga then tried a shot but it went wide as Alisson couldn't reach that. 7 minutes till the end of the game Manolas received a yellow card after bringing down Hazard. Nainggolan then received the ball from De Rossi and tried his luck with a dipping shot but it just goes wide off the post. The last chance of the game fell on Morata in the 88th minute but his shot went wide. The referee blew his whistle with AS Roma winning this one 2 - 1.

Fert came out with a big smile of his face as he had just gotten his first home win. Here's what the manager had to say. "I'm very happy with this win. After the 5 - 2 loss to Juventus, the lads wanted to bounce back with a win and they did. Hopefully we can carry this on when we play our shield match on Tuesday ". Perotti was also here for comment. Here's what he had to say: "I'm very happy to have scored my first goal of the season and to give my team the win here today. The team stuck by the coach and listened to him and the result was a win. With a match on Tuesday, it will be very interesting to see who makes the team. See you then" .
